UX Design Program Named among Industry’s Best by Value Colleges

The User Experience and Customer-Centered Design certificate program offered by Cal State Fullerton’s University Extended Education (UEE) has been recognized by online publication Value Colleges in its list of the top 50 Alternative UX Design programs for 2016.

User experience—which can be described as a practical mix of art and technology—has emerged as one of the fastest-growing specializations in today’s business world. It’s a rapidly evolving, high-demand field, making it ideal as a professional development program like the one offered at Cal State Fullerton.

“The success of the program is due in large part to the expertise of our instructors,” Program Developer Lauren Henderson said. “They’re very passionate about it, and some have worked in the field for so many years they’ve started companies of their own.”

UEE’s program combines UX concepts, practical knowledge and skills in a six-class, 98-hour curriculum taught by leading industry professionals. Courses allow students to create portfolios and network with recruiters, helping them learn to market themselves to potential employers once they’ve earned their certificates.

Value Colleges singled out the UX program at CSUF as ideally designed for working adults, and also cited the University’s high social mobility index ratings for the opportunities we provide to minority students.
