This program’s curriculum provides an in-depth and applied understanding of professional fiduciary practices, including the pre-licensing education required to qualify for the California state exam.

Our program lets you complete the program in around two to three academic terms. Plus, classes offered online, ideal for working professionals.

As the Baby-Boomer population ages, the need for professional fiduciaries continues to grow. And since the Professional Fiduciaries Act of 2006 made it a requirement for practitioners to be licensed, it is necessary receive a quality pre-licensing education. Our program—approved by the California Professional Fiduciaries Bureau— provides the knowledge necessary to successfully practice and the education needed to apply for licensure in California.

In our program, experienced practitioners provide a solid foundation in fiduciary management principles, including standards, practices, legal and ethical consideration, trust administration and fiduciary accounting. Graduates finish with the tools, resources and knowledge necessary to e ectively and ethically manage the property, finances and care of aging individuals.

This program’s curriculum covers the entire spectrum of fiduciary management, including prudent use and protection of a protected person’s assets, advance health directives, accounting and record keeping.

Standards and Practices in Professional Fiduciary Management

This course provides an overview of various positions, including the responsibilities of the conservator and the general duties of a trustee. You will also learn legal definitions and the “language.” of the probate.

Trust Administration and Management

This course identifies business practices required to manage assets during the scope of duties set forth by the trust for the trustee. You will receive a detailed review, but not a legal interpretation, of the law as it pertains to the duties of a trustee.

Accounting and Record Keeping for Position of Trust

This course provides an overview of the accounting and record keeping required to document transactions and protect the fiduciary. You will review accepted standards for tracking accounts and record keeping, as well as how to avoid procedures that could be interpreted as conflicts of interest or unethical.

Management of the Investment Portfolio

This course provides a detailed discussion of the requirements of the Uniform Prudent Investor Act, and reviews the basic mechanics of forming and implementing an investment strategy.
