Single Subject Credential Prerequisites

Single-Subject Credetential Prerequisites prepare you to enter a teaching credential program. This is perfect for those seeking the experience before the next step into becoming a teaching professional. Key components of this program include: 

  1. There are four courses, which can be taken concurrently for eight weeks.
  2. The courses are offered either in the fall or spring terms. 
  3. Altogether, the structure forms your critical and creative thinking skills to deliver curriculum, assessment and instruction.

Teacher Induction Program (TIP) 

Teacher Induction Program (TIP) prepares you to clear your preliminary teaching credential. Designed for teachers in their first professional year, TIP meets the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing (CTC). Leading benefits include: 

  1. The choice between the 1-Year Early Completion Option, which is 3 courses, or the 2-Year Traditional Completion Option, which is 4 courses. 
  2. Resources that document growth and proficiency through feedback and observations. 
  3. Students also start impactful projects that strengthen teaching strategies and data-driven approaches.
