Introduction to Programming Basics for Data Science

Course Information

This course is designed to provide a boot-camp style coverage of the foundational computing tools that are needed by today's Data Scientist (e.g., R, Python, et al.). A primary focus of this course will be to familiarize students with Python programming, especially in the context of accessing and analyzing datasets. Utilizing hands-on programming assignments, the students will develop some basic proficiency in programming. Upon completion, students will be able to assess their proficiency in programming and interest in the heavier computational aspects of data science to determine further progression in the Data Science or Data Analytics tracks.
