This certificate program is designed to introduce the principles of advanced manufacturing technologies, while enabling participants to experience rich occupational experience and continued skills improvement. Earning the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Certificate will enhance the competitiveness, technical knowledge, and resulting working efficiency of the program graduates.
Our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Certificate program is taught by Instructor Sagil James, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, California State University, Fullerton.

After the completion of this Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Certificate program, the students will obtain the following learning outcomes:
a) A fundamental understanding of various advanced manufacturing processes and the principles that underlie them.
b) An ability to understand and apply various technologies and practices of industrial automation, smart manufacturing, and other emerging manufacturing technologies.
c) An understanding of modeling, analysis, and optimization of various manufacturing processes.
d) An ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of engineering to solve real-world problems in manufacturing industries.
e) Develop effective skills in professional engineering communication and organization.

The program is open to all junior college students, current undergraduate students, graduate students, and eligible employees identified or recommended by their hosting organization or corporation. In order to ensure that students in a course possess the required knowledge and skills and in order to maintain high-quality courses/programs.
It is recommended that participants who reside outside of United States and whose first language is not English possess English language proficiency equivalent to:
A minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper) or 80 (iBT) Or A minimum IELTS score of 6.5. There is no need to send the test score to the University. It is the participant's responsibility to demonstrate English language proficiency necessary to fully participate in the class lectures and discussions.
