Oscar Tippol believes that professional development is a "stepping stone to achieving both personal and career advancement.” That’s why he decided to complete CSUF’s Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate as well as classes in Supply Chain Management. He also completed classes in Spanish/English Interpretation.

"The Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Supply Chain Management classes provided me with very practical tools that I could apply the next day at work," Oscar says. "Using the methodologies I learned – data combined with history – I can produce accurate forecasting that decreases downtime and inventory, while increasing productivity and reliability. I’m able to turn around inventory, procure materials from various sources and negotiate lead time, cost and variances."

He enrolled in these programs because he "needed a fresh and up-to-date system that was both easy to understand and easy to apply at work. " He says the practical down-to-earth approach by instructors for both programs prepared him to immediately apply what he had learned.
