With a background in healthcare administration, Michael Lawson saw a growing need for individuals who can help seniors and others who need assistance managing their affairs.

“I searched a number of programs and talked to professionals in the field,” Michael says, and they strongly recommended CSUF’s Professional Fiduciary program.

Michael has now completed his certificate program and says the courses “were exceptional.” He also notes that faculty “were superior in their knowledge of the field as well in their interaction with students. The most helpful aspect of the classes was the practical experience of the faculty and how they applied the material to real life circumstances.”

Michael is now preparing for the California professional fiduciary exam and says, “I feel well prepared and confident that I will succeed in the exam and in future endeavors . . . The faculty and CSUF students have helped create a valuable network that will enhance my transition and start in the field,” he notes.

“The program support staff at the program was been exceptional,” Michael says. “They provided timely instruction and guidance regarding courses, registration, and activities, and facilitated an active network among the students and the professional fiduciary community.”
