Winter Session is a short, accelerated academic term at CSUF designed to help students complete courses during the break between the Fall and Spring semesters.
- Current CSUF students may enroll through Titan Online during their registration appointment.
- Non-CSUF students (or students not currently admitted) may enroll via CSUF Open University.
Winter Session offers both 2-week and 4-week course options, in formats that may include on-campus, online, or hybrid.
Winter Session usually runs in two sessions:
- Session A: December–January (4 weeks)
- Session B: January (2 weeks)
Check the “Dates & Deadlines” page for exact drop/add, refund, and registration deadlines.
- The general unit limit during Winter Session is 4 units.
- Students on academic notice are limited to 3 units, unless they receive approval for excess units.
If you plan to take more than 4 units, submit the Request for Excess Units form by the deadline.
- CSUF students: Register through Titan Online once your registration appointment becomes active.
- Non-CSUF students: Register via CSUF Open University process following the Winter Session enrollment instructions.
- The base course fee is $366 per unit, plus campus-based mandatory fees.
- Payment is due in full at the time of registration. Students who do not pay by the due date may be disenrolled.
- Refunds follow the Winter Session refund schedule.
