Online Proctoring Instructions

Please review the following instructions carefully regarding your upcoming exams that can be taken online. You will need to fill in the form below prior to your first online test.

When you take the tests online, Proctorio, an outside vendor will proctor the test by monitoring you from your webcam as you take the test. This helps ensure the quality of the university’s online programs.

Please follow these guidelines for privacy:

  • Prior to taking the test, look around the area of your house where you will take your test. Make sure there are no items in view that are personal in nature (pictures, mail that might have an address, etc.).
  • To avoid suspicion, make sure no other individuals enter the test area during the test.
  • Please report any operational issues with your computer that occur after a proctored exam. Report the information to your instructor or contact Proctio support for help.

If you are not comfortable using an online proctor for your exams, there are a couple of options:

  • There may be approved testing centers in your area where you can take your test in person – please set this up in advance of your scheduled exam – there will be a small fee per test (you will be responsible for this extra fee).
  • There is a testing center on the Fullerton Junior College campus for those who live near the Fullerton area. Students must make an appointment in advance by calling 714.732.5533. Appointments are only made for 9 a.m. on Tuesday or Thursday (3 hours allowed). There is a $30 charge per test (you will be responsible for this extra fee).

If you choose any of the above methods, make sure to let your instructor know about the arrangement two weeks before any exam.

Whether or not you are planning to take your exams online, students are required to fill out the online form below before their first scheduled exam.
